Tesia Harrison has a B.Ed Hons in Music, from Cambridge University.
She has taught in Primary and Junior schools. During that time she was responsible for all school music activities, including orchestra, choir, steel drums groups and individual music lessons.
She currently runs three orchestral groups, teaches Colourstrings Music to Reception and Year 1 classes at a local primary school and runs a school Rock Band. She teaches individual lessons for flute and piano.
All three of her children have been taught using the Colourstrings methodology from an early age. Inspired by the quality of teaching, Tesia wanted to learn more about these together with the principles of Kodaly and apply them to her own lessons.
Tesia is passionate about bringing more music into local schools and sharing it with the wider community.
